Comforting Pub Food & Vintage Charm

Once again, Jim and I found ourselves on Fourth Street North in St. Pete in search of a fun and relaxing dining experience in the midst of a busy holiday season.

This time our destination was a century old vintage farm house know as the Three Birds Tavern.

The wraparound porch provides expansive outdoor seating with plenty of shade from the massive Oak trees that surround the property.

Even in the heat of a Florida’s Summer day we were quite comfortable to enjoy one of the twenty draft brews that are offered while being seated outdoors.

On this particular day at the end of December it was a chilly 65 degrees and we opted to be seated inside next to a cozy brick fireplace.

In order to kill 2 birds with one stone, (no pun intended), we ordered the Mushroom Guinness Gravy burger with sauteed onions, cheddar cheese, and a perfect gravy ladled generously over the char-grilled sirloin.

The burger along with the hand cut fries was quite satisfying and will definitely be featured on our Tampa Bay’s Best Burger blog in the weeks to come.

Jim was tempted by the Bird Dog which was a grilled Wagyu hot dog topped with crispy pork belly, roasted shishito peppers, house made pickles, and tobacco onions.

As always we like to assure that great staff is a result of a management team willing to train well. New servers & experienced can benefit from our online hospitality training program from Give Remarkable Service. We are offering this program for FREE for two more weeks over the holiday. I can certainly see why Three Birds Tavern has been considered a favorite gathering place for friends and family for many years.

Great food, a staff that appears happy to be there, and the comforting ambiance of a European pub where everyone feels welcome is what makes the Three Birds Tavern a great choice for locals and visitors.

Patti Abate & her husband James Poling are hospitality professionals & passionate about their dedication to assuring great service and food are part of a restaurants agenda.
