Tampa Bay’s Remarkable Burgers

We began our noble search this week for Tampa Bay’s most Remarkable Burgers at the Engine No. 9 on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street in St. Pete.

I chose the Saganaki Burger which was a compilation of kesseri cheese, tzatziki sauce, feta, pickles and kalamata olives.  It was the perfect blend of Greek delicacies using Black Angus Beef for the burger and prepared to a juicy perfection.

My husband ordered the Border Line with Guacamole, Smoked Pancetta, Roasted Cherry Peppers, Pepperjack Cheese, and Chipolte Mayo.

We also ordered a side of sweet potato and thin cut pencil fries. They were nearly as dreamy as the burgers themselves and we consumed each and everyone of them.

Of course you can’t really enjoy a great burger without having the perfect beer along side of it.

I had mentioned in an earlier blog post that Amber Ale’s are my favorite so I was thrilled to see the Highland Gaelic Amber Ale from Ashville, N.C. on their rather extensive draft beer list.

Jim ordered a Saugatuck Blueberry Maple Stout from one of our favorite spots in Michigan where we had vacationed last summer with our children and grandchildren.

You can check out their ever changing draft and bottled beer selection by going to Taphunter.com.

There are never any shortages of great options for food or drink in this paradise like place that we call home. With so many choices you want to navigate to the very best whenever possible.

At Engine No. 9 we found what we believed to be a truly remarkable burger.
